The aim of Bridges Over Troubled Waters disaster preparedness initiative is to foster being proactive by engaging and mobilizing volunteer coordinators to assist in registering, educating, training, and supporting the targeted population before a disaster, transporting pre and post disaster and utilizing agency resources to provide post disaster assistance. 24-hour emergency supply kits are distributed to residents who fall within the guidelines. Trained participants will be asked to instruct five additional persons on kit preparation – “Each one teach five.”
The mission of Bridges Over Troubled Waters is to serve as a consortium for the community and foster a more effective direct service to those in need during a catastrophic emergency in a coordinated effort with local, area, state and federal agencies.

Hello, my name is Wayne L. Anderson, and I was born in Washington DC where I volunteered in the community and worked as a Police Officer. I later moved to Tampa FL in 2003 with my family and currently work in the insurance field and a marketing firm.
I continue to volunteer and support different charities from feeding children, helping churches like Metropolitan Ministries to now
helping to provide scholarships for our youth. I have 2 children of my own and I understand the importance of education and spending
time and supporting them. Our children and our seniors are considered our most valuable commodity and I'm pleased to help
Bridges Over Troubled Waters do all we can.
